Coming from a family of professional gardeners, I have always had a huge passion for plants and the natural world. Eager to improve my knowledge, in 2010 I began studying for the RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Horticulture, successfully passing all eight units (two with commendation) in June 2012. During this time, I also took and successfully passed a City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Practical Horticulture Skills.
In the years since passing my RHS Level 2, I’ve worked for friends and family on a variety of garden projects, further developing my practical skills and gaining valuable experience. In 2010 I bought a dilapidated property, renovating both the house and garden myself; a huge but rewarding project which again broadened my knowledge, particularly in garden design and planning.
Having worked in the IT industry for a number of years, in 2019 I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a professional gardener and joined JD Horticultural Services as Assistant Horticulturist.
I’m extremely privileged to work in and care for a number of multi-award-winning gardens alongside Jonathan; creating and nurturing beautiful spaces for our clients, and getting to share my passion for plants in the process!
